Aros Cleaning Robot Platform Achieves Updated CE Certification

All Aros cleaning robots now compliant with revised European Machinery Directive and safety standards.

Aros Robotics AB has successfully completed CE certification updates for its complete autonomous cleaning robot platform under the revised European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and harmonized safety standard EN 1525:2024.

The certification, conducted by TÜV Rheinland, covers all three product lines: Aros Clean Pro, Aros Clean Max and Aros Clean Compact. The assessment validated enhanced safety features, updated risk assessments and improved technical documentation.

Key certification highlights include: - Redundant obstacle detection systems with certified fail-safe behavior - Enhanced emergency stop mechanisms meeting SIL 2 safety integrity levels - Updated risk assessments addressing human-robot interaction scenarios - Comprehensive technical construction files and compliance documentation

"Safety certification is not just a regulatory requirement—it's fundamental to how we design and build our products," said Dr. Magnus Eriksson, CEO of Aros Robotics AB. "This updated certification demonstrates our commitment to meeting the highest European safety standards and providing our customers with systems they can deploy with complete confidence."

The updated CE marking applies to all new production units effective immediately. Existing deployed fleets can receive safety system upgrades through Aros field service teams at no additional cost for customers with active maintenance contracts.

Aros cleaning robots are currently deployed in over 200 facilities across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands, with a safety record of zero incidents involving robot-related injuries to building occupants or cleaning staff.
