Major Retail Chain Reports Success with Aros Clean Compact Deployment
Swedish retail operator achieves 58% cost reduction across 24 stores following Aros Clean Compact rollout.
A major Swedish retail chain has reported significant operational improvements following a six-month deployment of Aros Clean Compact autonomous cleaning robots across 24 store locations.
The deployment, which began in February 2025, represents one of the largest retail implementations of autonomous cleaning technology in the Nordic region. Each store location operates 1-2 Aros Clean Compact units during overnight cleaning cycles.
Operational results after six months: - 58% reduction in store-level cleaning costs - 40% improvement in floor cleaning consistency scores - 97.8% fleet uptime across all locations - Complete ROI achieved within 8 months (ahead of 12-month projection)
"The business case for autonomous cleaning in retail is compelling," said Erik Johansson, Facilities Director for the retail chain. "Beyond the direct cost savings, we've seen improved cleaning consistency, reduced scheduling complexity and the ability to redeploy cleaning staff to customer-facing roles during store hours."
The Aros Clean Compact's compact footprint (750mm width) and quiet operation (58dB) make it particularly suitable for retail environments with narrow aisles and adjacency to residential areas. The robots operate autonomously during overnight hours, charging automatically and providing cleaning completion reports to facility managers via the Aros management portal.
Following this successful deployment, the retail chain has approved expansion to an additional 40 store locations scheduled for rollout in Q4 2025 and Q1 2026.
“We initially planned a 5-store pilot, but the results were so clear that we accelerated to 24 stores. The Aros Clean Compact has exceeded expectations.”
