Logistics Operator Achieves 40,000 sqm Coverage with Aros Clean Max Fleet
Swedish 3PL reports 63% cost reduction and zero safety incidents across eight-robot deployment.
A major Swedish third-party logistics (3PL) operator has reported significant operational improvements following a nine-month deployment of eight Aros Clean Max autonomous cleaning robots at its 40,000 square meter distribution center in central Sweden.
The deployment, which began in February 2024, represented the first large-scale implementation of autonomous cleaning technology in a Swedish logistics facility, covering warehouse aisles, loading docks, break areas and office spaces.
Results after nine months of operation: - 63% reduction in facility cleaning costs - 40,000 sqm autonomous coverage per night - 98.2% fleet uptime - Zero safety incidents involving warehouse staff or robot operations - Positive feedback from warehouse staff regarding floor cleanliness
"Logistics warehouses present unique challenges for autonomous cleaning: constant forklift traffic, 24/7 operations, large open spaces mixed with tight aisles and demanding cleanliness requirements," said Johan Pettersson, VP of Operations at Aros Robotics AB. "This deployment demonstrates that our Clean Max platform can handle complex industrial environments safely and effectively."
The robots operate during overnight hours and scheduled breaks in warehouse operations, automatically navigating around pallets, equipment and facility infrastructure. Integration with the warehouse management system allows the robots to adjust cleaning schedules based on planned operational downtime.
The logistics operator has approved expansion of the Aros fleet to two additional distribution centers in Sweden, scheduled for deployment in Q1 2025.
